About the event
The emotions associated with our clothing are varied. Clothing isn't just a product, it also acts as a reminder of people and places. We keep garments that will never be worn again, but can't bring ourselves to part with them. From newborn baby clothing to granddad's jumpers, garments with significant sentimental value tell a story. We'd love to hear yours. Bring up to nine items of clothing to which you have a particular emotional attachment and want to keep, but will no longer be worn, and in three hours transform them into a Patchwork Memory Cushion to cherish forever or give as a gift.
Join Julia Roebuck from Upcycle Fashion to create a patchwork envelope cushion cover. Cushion pads are available to buy at additional cost. Confident hand sewing skills required. Upcycle Fashion deliver sustainable fashion workshops and talks to keep clothing in your life and out of landfill.
